Baby dady at the birth?

So im alone in this pregancy, the father has come to a few doctor appointments with me though mostly in the begging of this pregancy. But im now 34 weeks and we dont talk at all. Every interaction we have the whole time he yells at me. I dont want to have him at the birth or while im recorving. So i planned on not telling him when i go into labor or when i deliver, Is this wrong of me to do?

You should to tell him when you go into labor but he does not have to be in the room with you. Have a family member or friend in there with you for support.

He is the father weather you get along or not and it's great if he wants to be apart of the child's life then he should be doc apt. Aren't that big of a deal but the delivery is he should be told and be able to come but stay in the waiting room exp. If stresses you out have your mom or a close friend or family member on the room to support you he can wait out side .he should most sertinly be able to meet his baby they day of birth . It's hard when you aren't atleast getting along but it's all about the baby from that moment on

I dealt with the same exact situation as you're going through. And my baby's father ended up showing up when I was in labor, and sat out in the waiting room. Of course i let him in the room (worst decision ever) and it was all downhill from there. Meanwhile I had never heard from him my whole pregnancy, and my son is 7 months old and still haven't heard from him. So it's all your choice, you do what you feel is right. In labor who knows you might want him there. But you're in a whole different state of mind when you're in labor. Good luck!💕

I would tell him because if you had to beg him to come to a normal appointment he most likely won't come anyways. So there is nothing to worry about.

You are the one that is giving birth! It's up to you, but it sounds like he really doesn't care if you had to beg for him to come to doctor appts. If things are that bad, I wouldn't tell him. And don't post on Facebook or tell anyone that'll tell him, until you are ready for him to see the baby.

You need someone there who will support and encourage you. Not someone who will stress you out. Giving birth is hard and you don't need someone there who is going to be negative towards you.

When I was pregnant with my son my midwife told me if it stresses you out then don't have it in the delivery room. My baby daddy was not there he was a alerted as soon as my son was born.

It's YOUR labor and delivery. YOU are the patient. Even if you did tell him and he showed up he has absolutely no rights in regards to being in the room. He can see the baby once there is one to see. Or not. It's up to you how long baby stays with you.  My hospital doesn't even have a nursery so if I were in your shoes I could refuse a visit the entire time we're there.
