Could it be thrush?

My 1 month old baby is fussy to feed every time. Recently I have been experiencing pain and burning sensation on the right side nipple alone. Thought it'll go away slowly but no difference. Feel better when I apply the nipple cream but I don't get complete relief. When I called my obgyn she asked me to give warm pack after each feed. I'm not able to do it often and also don't find much change. I don't see anything on my lo tongue. She has a white patch but not so predominant. Also all this trouble is on the right side only. Could these be symptoms of thrush? I've pediatrician appointment on Tuesday. I hope I can manage until then. Somehow I want someone to diagnose the issue properly and help me continue breastfeeding.
