Do people who are depressed have a "look in their eyes"

That you can just tell they're depressed from looking at them?

Sometimes. Some of them can fake it pretty well though.

Some of them fake it very well. Because often it's more than just depression, and often it comes with the feeling that you are worthless and by making others aware that you are burdened, you are inconveniencing them when you shouldn't. Because their happiness is worth more than yours.

I've known both. People who can and people who can't. And I kindof think it depends on the upbringing and the duration that they've spent without help.

It's more obvious in mannerisms and how people hold themselves than the eyes. And it shows on different people in different ways.

It depends on the person. I pick up on stuff because I have lots of friends who I keep an eye on because of bad times being extra bad. Yes a couple I do pick up a look when it's time to change medication or something. When a person is depressed they can completely look happy in their eyes so depression can be picked up based on behavior too
