Should I get on birth control?

So my Bestfriend and I have taken our friendship to another level where we've considered is being on a relationship...Anyway We first had sex on March 13 and twice in the month of April and twice in May (1st and 13th) May 1st we had a scare were he came and wiped his semen off and went back in but I took the morning after pill the next day and I got my period this month and everything's cool but with us having unprotected sex and him being allergic to condoms🙄😒...Should I get on birth control...But I really don't plan on having sex for a while but just in case
