Gluten free?!

Question

Who else is gluten free? Did your kids end up being gluten intolerant? My daughter is 13 months and I've noticed when she eats anything with gluten it upsets her stomach like it does with me, I'm wondering if she is gluten intolerant, how do I tell for sure? Also I'm in dire need of some gluten free recipes for me, I'm getting tired of my normal lunch routine and I'd like to try something different

I don't think not giving it to her will make her gluten intolerant in the future maybe she will be gluten sensitive. My son has a mild food allergy to eggs and shellfish. We didn't realize it until he was 5. All his life he had had it. Turns out his reaction affects his respiratory system instead of his skin. I think the are just born with those type or reactions. The doctor said that as they get older is more and more clear on them

I'm wondering about gluten for my son. Not allergy but perhaps sensitivity. I use Pinterest a lot to help with meal ideas. We eat a lot of paleo foods so lots of veggies and some meat and fruit nuts and such. If we do have pasta I buy catelli (sp?) or one that is usually right beside it that starts with a B. (Haha yea not in my kitchen right now) I serve it to people who swear that all gluten free food sucks and tastes like cardboard. They never know the difference 😂. The hard part about it is when other people want to feed them foods. I did no dairy for a few weeks with my son I felt like I was telling the same people over and over not to give it to him. I even gave them food for him but they wanted to give him what they were having. Drove me nuts! Anyways you can always cut it out until they are old and try again as their digestive track can mature more and they may be find or if there is an issue they can communicate what's wrong better.

The only way to really know is to have allergy testing done. My son has a lot of allergies... Gluten, egg, milk, soy, all nuts, wheat and sesame. There's a lot of websites out there that help with allergy recipes 🙂
