How many bottles?

I am trying to prep for when I return to work in 4 weeks. I EBF right now but will be pumping upon returning to work and my little one will be getting bottles while I am working. How many bottles to you guys have in rotation? I have no idea how many I am going to need!

I go through 9 bottles in a 24hr period. He eats 4-5oz every 2.5-3hrs!

I guess it depends on how much and how often your baby eats. I BF and supplement with formula. My LO eats usually 3-4oz at a time and every 2-3 hours, maybe 3-4 hours at night. I have 10 bottles, and usually use them all in a day and wash bottles 1-2x per day to keep up. Since I have the little bottles, they only hold a max of 4 oz, so I'll need to
Buy bigger bottles soon! I'll probably buy 15 or so.

I just returned to work.  My baby eats every 3 hours or so, so she usually only takes 3 bottles a day at daycare.  For the first few days, I sent an extra bottle, just in case.  She didn't end up needing it. I only have 6, and that works fine for us, because I breast feed her at home.  I would also consider sending a little of your stockpile for them to keep frozen or supplemental formula.  Again, just in case.  Hungry baby is saddest baby.

I went back to work for just 2 days to check in and I found I needed a good 2 weeks beforehand to try and pump a supply ahead of Day One. It was so hard.

As for bottles, it turns out LO drinks 3-3.5 oz per bottle once every 2-3 hours. But she tends to cluster feed at night.

My baby only eats 2-3 oz a feeding so we can go through 10 bottles a day sometimes. Depends on how much she eats..also now that it's warmer she is thirsty
