Education Grading Scale
So South Carolina has voted to going back to using the 10 point grading scale. The 10 point grading scale means:
90-100 - A
80-89 - B
70-79 - C
60-69 - D
59 & below - F
When I was in school the 7 point grading system was used:
93-100 - A
85- 92 - B
78-84 - C
70-76 - D
0-69 - F
My question is do you think by adopting the 10 point grading scale some children will not work as hard to earn a passing grade? With the 10 point grading system you can get all 60's on an assignment and still pass because it is considered a D. With the old 7 point grading system anything in the 60's is a F which means you fail. What grading system does your state use?
