So I've had the skyla iud for a year now and it has been awesome. I experienced the normal irregular bleeding for the first couples months ( which was so worth it, cause of the convenience of not worrying abou bc everyday). Then after about six months I started to have a pretty regular, light period. I'm now freaking out a little because I have now had a period for over two weeks, it started out normal,  then was looking like it was ending and now I'm bleeding again but  it looks brighter and not necessarily like your typical period blood. I thought after a year it gets lighter not heavier. I just wanted to see if anyone else has expierienced increased bleeding with an iud after having one for a year. Or if anyone has advice as to what the cause of more bleeding is. I just get nervous reading about ectopic pregnancies and so on. Thank you!!
