Do I go to my prom?

My prom is coming up at the end of this month, 30th June and I've got everything bought including my dress, shoes, jewellery, bag, all my appointments are booked, my boyfriend has his suit bought but whenever people talk to be about it I'm not excited in the slightest, I just feel like I'm waiting my parents money and being dragged there. What do I do? Do I go and try enjoy it or do I stay at home and miss it? Just seeing all your girls dresses on here makes me feel like I don't deserve to go

You're only wasting their money by not going. Its a once in a lifetime experience. You're gonna wish that you had went if you don't go... Just do what feels right but you really should go...

I say you should go! I'll tell you why. I had gotten my Prom dress and I was working hard for it too. I don't have a boyfriend. I just went to Prom by myself. Everyone thought that was really bold of me. But some people kinda convinced me to not go. I almost didn't go. But I did. I'm proud of myself for going. I had TONS of fun. And I even found a dance partner for lessons out of it. It was perfect. He's also the guy that I'm now falling in love with. (That's a story on its own) I had fun with everyone. I got compliments from people I hadn't ever talked to. I don't regret going at all. I didn't think I would have a good time. But I did. And if you don't have fun, at least you'll have one more memory for later down in your life. You can say you went. That way you don't regret not knowing what it would've been like if you had gone to Prom.
