Miscarriage or not?

Has anyone had really low levels of hcg with bleeding and thought it was a miscarriage but your levels went back up? I went to the ER yesterday and they said I was miscarrying  and my hcg was only 1.8 at 4 weeks pregnant but they wanted me to repeat blood work tomorrow to see if the levels go up at all. Has anyone experienced this?

Yes I experienced this at 8 weeks, the levels actually went up again but it was my placenta growing not the baby

I just went Sunday for bleeding. They took my hcg which was 17 and I have to go back tomorrow for another hcg test. I know I miscarried, I've been bleeding for two days now and all symptoms have disappeared. I guess it's just to confirm my hcg dropped like it should

I was 5 weeks 1 day. I started having slight pink bleeding so I went to the ER to find out what was wrong. They took my blood and made me pee in a cup and my HCG level dropped down to the 20's :( my follow up is any day now. They assumed I was having a miscarriage. They are supposed to draw my blood again to see what my levels are.

At 1.8 my doctor wouldn't consider me pregnant. <5 is considered not pregnant. I hate to say it, but don't get your hopes up.
