Advice for head injury

Yesterday at work i fainted and hit my head twice one on the back i hit a table on the way down and then one near my temple when i hit the ground. Ambulance came and took me to the hospital. I got checked and cleared to go home. Nothing serious but i was told to take a few days to recover. My work was trying to get me back in tomorrow but the dr i had seen in the hospital yesterday called me and asked how i was doing. I told him what i was feeling such as dizziness and he said thats normal and i talked to him about my work and he told me i need medical clearance before i can go back to work because my job is physically demanding and requires me to be on my feet majority of the time or even on step stools and ladders. Now i have to find a primary dr so i can get clearance. What should i expect as far as how long i will be out or if i will get cleared that day when i get an appointment.
