Can we still have unprotected sex?

My partner and I both have hpv we decided we want to get pregnant. Can we have unprotected sex or will the hpv get worse? We just found out today that we have hpv and we have been trying for months to get pregnant and now I'm afraid that the unprotected sex will make it worse.

There are over 100 strains of HPV. Some cause genital warts, some can cause cervical dysplasia which may lead to cancer, and some strains have no symptoms. It's important to know that you have a normal Pap smear before TTC. If you have one of the 4 HPV strains that cause cancer, you will want to make sure your cervix is healthy first. Please discuss this and all risks with your OB/GYN.

Also, I'm curious how your boyfriend knows he has HPV, as there is currently no test that can detect it in men.

I'm sorry. But you can't get hpv worst. I would ask doc about procreating. Idk if it would effect you chances or the baby if successful.
