ClearBlue ovulation test

Hi all!  I'm on cycle day 18 and this is my 3rd day getting a flashing happy face (which means high fertility) but still haven't seen the steady smiley that means peak fertility.  I normally use the cheaper tests (wondfo) and this time brought the ClearBlue into the mix.  My wondfo came up that I was ovulating on Monday so now I'm super confused.  Anyone have experience with the ClearBlue ovulation tests that can offer some thoughts or opinions?  Note: I did start using the CB tests later in my cycle than instructed.  Think that has anything to do with the flashing smiley not switching over to steady?
