Anyone with Cleft Lip & Palate ?

Ever since I've been old enough to think about having a family, I've had one thought make me nervous. I was born with Cleft Lip & Palate, which is a facial and oral malformation of the nose and lip. This resulted in many surgeries, hundreds of visits to the doctors and never ending dental treatment. Besides the deformity that you suffer, you also have to deal with speech problems. I don't even know where I'm going with this, maybe I just want to vent, but I'm nervous. I'm nervous about having a baby with the same deformity as I did. I grew up with an older sister and many cousins who were there to protect me when I went to school. Eventually I grew up to become confident about myself. What if my son doesn't have that & he feels too ashamed to tell me about it ? I'm nervous. Does anyone here have cleft lip and palate ?
