Cramps get worse every period

So I started my period when I was about 11 or 12 normally and I was lucky enough to not have very bad cramps and soon I had none by the time I was 15. I'm 17 now and for the past few periods I've started getting cramps and they get worse with every period to the point that I feel like I'm going to throw up. I don't go to the gynecologist bc my mom refuses to take me, is this normal?
