Religion and dying.

Is there anyone who has a hard time accepting religion? I'm not against it I just have a hard time believing in the different types of ideologies. I grew up in church but all I ever saw were hypocrites. I'm not really sure if that shaped my view on things but I have a huge fear of dying and going to hell. Or maybe just dying in general. It seems like the things that make me happy are going to send me to hell. I just don't understand why hell exist, if it exists. I would think it existed for murders and rapist. Not those who just want to live life. Idk, if it normal to fear death? Is it normal to fear going to hell?
