24 hour urine collection

So for the first time during my pregnancy I had a crazy high blood pressure so they sent me to the hospital to be monitored for 6 hours. I was then sent home with a big orange jug to collect my pee and I had to bring it back to lab the next day to be tested for preclampsia. I took it back yesterday so would they be able to tell me my results today?! I've read where it only takes a few hours but idk if I should call my doctors office or just wait till next week when I have my appointment.
