Who shows more emotion in the relationships?

I am a really emotional person and my boyfriend is not emotional/or shows little to no emotion which makes me feel vulnerable. Our relationship is going well, I just whish he could be a little more emotional once in a while! I get that its not who he is though and I can't force him... Is anyone els going through this?

I am definitely more emotional than my bf. I have trouble opening up completely and just telling him my whole life story because I feel like I can't open up if he hasn't opened up to me. I've actually struggled with just needing someone to talk to and listen to me.... My bf just doesn't get it.

I understand that my boyfriend isn't the most expressive person about his emotions, and he's far from romantic which I get since I'm not either, but sometimes it really bugs me how he won't open up about to me about he feels about me or our relationship. I just told him I wouldn't see him for a week since I'm going away with my family for Thanksgiving and he's just like "that's shitty" which makes me think he doesn't care about me and he has yet to say he loves me or reassure me that hes still very much into me, like he said he was when we first started out....

Idk what to do, I can't change nor do I want to, how and who he is. Id just like some kind of reassuring every once in a while.
