Should rapist pay child support

I was just thinking about it but how does that  work what if you fell pregnant after a rape . If the rapist goes to jail does he pay child support ? Or if he doesn't go to jail and he's for some reason not found guilty does he still pay child support would you Persue it ?? Idk id probably not want to do that just because I wouldn't want contact with him or the baby to have contact . Id be SO CONFUSED . Please some one give me some insight
