Is it okay or am I just tripping ??

Alright I need advice not bs... So my boyfriend already gets off work late sometimes and when he gets off he wants to smoke and drink which is not a problem but he does get off early in the morning ... I don't know if I should expect him to come in and speak to me or let me know he is off .... I honestly feel awkward because I'm not use to a guy who does this ...
