Piercing while pregnant?

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I was just wondering if it's okay to get a nose piercing from an extremely clean and sterile place while pregnant? No negative comments just here for advice

Any reputable tattoo artist and body piercer will not do anything to someone who is pregnant. It's advised to wait til after you have the baby

It puts your body into shock, which YOU might be able to handle - but your baby might not be able to! In theory; make sure your nose piercing is worth more than your unborn baby (or vise versa) ✅

Nope. And no where will pierce you if you are pregnant and they are a decent shop.

I was told no. If it gets infected, which is quite common with nose piercings, it can start preterm labour and you could lose your baby. I almost lost mine because of a UTI so small that I had no symptoms from because any infection in the body irritates the uterus. Also, when you're pregnant, your immune system is down so it slows the healing time and makes you more susceptible to infections. It's not worth the risk at this point. Wait a few more months until your little one gets here, and then go for it. :)

You always risk infection. I wouldn't take the chances . I've had 16 piercings and only 1 infected but it was on my ear . If you don't take proper care of your nose which can easily get infected because it's on your face , deals with sweat & no one knows for sure if that place is 100% sterile because they can't guarentee that . I'm sorry .

I asked my doctor about a tattoo and she approved. She just said the only thing that might change was how my body reacts to it and how it heals. She said it was completely safe so I got a tattoo for my passed grandfather. Everything is fine as long as you get the thumbs up from your doctor.

The chance of infection is higher during pregnancy. And a reputable shop will absolutely not pierce you if you're pregnant. Just wait.
