Swollen after sex?

So the last few times I've had sex, my vagina gets really swollen. Even if I get fingered it's the same. It's not painful. And I always assumed it was because it was rough. I'm going to see my long distance boyfriend this weekend for 5 days, and I don't want it to be as swollen. Is that normal? And is there anything I can do so I last the whole weekend without that happening?
