Would you choose to get induced?

My dr was gave me the option to get induced at 39 and something days! Everything is completely fine with pregnancy. I got induced with my two previous pregnancies due to high B/P

Yes! I'm having an elective induction at 39 weeks exactly to insure my husband will be here for our son's birth. 😊

I don't want to get induced. I want her to come when she wants to come. I heard being induced, hurts alot more than her coming by herself. I want my baby to cook as long as possible!

NO it more than doubled chance of C section, tearing, excessive bleeding, and epidural.iys not worth it, only to save a few days of discomfort, I say cherish your pregnancy! You will miss it

Nope. She'll come when she's ready. I made it this far. I can make it the rest of the way.  Also, it does increase the risk of more painful contractions, and the need for epidurals or c-section because it can be stressful for the baby.

Also, my niece was recently induced.  It was 3 days of laboring in the hospital and ended up in a c-section.  If there is even the slightest chance that will happen to me, I want to avoid it!

I personally wouldn't get induced unless it was medically necessary!

I've never been induced but I heard the contractions are way more intense and painful. I've only had spontaneous labors.

Depends on you and your body. If you cervix is ripe and ready and your dr has told you that you are dilated to atleast 2cm, the induction won't take as long. They will just hook you up to pitocin and start your contractions. If you are not ready, they will give you 12 hour long medicines or 4 hour long medicines to ripen your cervix, the process can take days, and at that point it is really not worth it. So it depends on you and what your dr has been telling you.

I personally would be uses my husband isn't going to be around the weeks after I hit 40 weeks because he is taking a new job and has training. I'd love the option to insure he is there.

Do what's best for you. I'm doing an induction. I'm totally in love with the idea. If you want it, go for it. If you don't, don't do it. Consult your doctor and partner because they're the only ones who matter. Plenty of people have amazing inductions and it's a great experience - especially if your body has started the process already.
