Does anyone have swollen lymph nodes under the arm ? Could it be cancer ?

I have very painful swollen lymph nodes under my arm by my boob and i am panicking that i have cancer or something . Im goin to bring it up to my doctor on the 6th but i am looking for peace of mind until then . I am 38 weeks pregnant .

I was told by my doc that lumps with no pain are more serious then lumps found with pain. Just an FYI.

Your milk ducts can also develop up into the same place, believe it or not so it may just be your body preparing to produce milk. I would still mention it to your doc to be safe but hope that helps.

There is breast tissue under your arms, along with fatty deposits and lymph nodes. All of which swell at the end of pregnancy, but a simple ultrasound will ease your mind.

I got some in my arm pits while I was pregnant with my twins. I thought for sure it was cancer (I've watched Terms of Endearment far too many times). It was just from the surge of hormones and they eventually went away.

I have a little painless knot under my armpit I showed it to my doctor & he said it was just a swollen lymph node. It still freaks me out though & I check it all the time. I think you are fine, especially since it has pain I've heard the ones with pain are not much to worry about. Still check with your doc, but I'm sure you're ok :)

You also could be fighting a mild infection that you're unaware of. Lymph nodes are where antibodies are born.

I had quite a big lump under my armpit. It was nothing to worry about and went down after a while. I went to the doctor and they weren't concerned. Earlier in pregnancy I also found a lump on my breast which also turned out to be nothing. You're body goes through a lot but go to the doctors just to be sure.

More than likely milk ducts. I have them... very goddamn painful! I'm seeing about getting mine removed

I had this after I had the Tdap shot. Was given antibiotics and it went away.
