Castor oil ?

Question

I have heard that consuming castor oil during last months of pregnancy helps delivery .... in sense that it lubricates your passage way...
Is it true ? .... has anyone tried natural oils or something like it ?

No it just causes gastrointestinal upset, which causes you to go into labor... don't do it. It's very dangerous many women have stillborn babies because of it. Just do yourself a favor and wait an extra few days for baby to come on their own. In the grand scheme, it's not that long. There's plenty of other things to do.

I had my baby a week early & I walked like nobody's business, I drank raspberry leaf tea (as well as some other tea from Teavana that the manager said would help), I bounced on my yoga ball, I had sex... all these things (I believe) totally worked. Do your baby a favor & skip the castor

DON'T DO IT...IT CAN CAUSE YOUR BABY TO POOP IN THE AMNIOTIC FLUID AND COULD SWALLOW IT AND IT BE IN THE LUNGS..YES IT DOES PUT YOU INTO LABOR IN THE END OF YOUR PREGNANCY I DID IT WITH MY FIRST I WAS LUCKY MY SON DIDN'T HAVE A BM.. But it's not worth the risk of my doctor told me that part instead of telling me how to do it so I didn't need to be induced with the pit I would have never done it to risk that for my baby...plus bringing on the contractions like that sucks.. Honestly try walking distance and have someone with you so you can sit when need be and also try sex or getting to climax that it getting an O can Def help in that case please do the research on it castor oil) there's plenty of evidence showing that it causes most babies to have a BM in the womb and can get into their lungs not worth it hun at all

I drank heaps and heaps of cinnamon tea, walked a lot, ate pineapple and had a stretch and sweep at 39weeks. Dd came naturally at 41 weeks.

I tried it with my second born. Now I've learned that it could possibly cause the baby to poop, and actually ingest it, causing major problems. It sent me into labor pretty quick, I had major diarrhea. Was in labor for 18hrs.
