Ain't That the Pot Calling the Kettle Black

My dearest MIL was arrested for cultivating marijuana within 1000 ft of a school and conspiracy for conspiring with her boyfriend to commit a felony. He was charged with the same.

Her parents bailed her out and was going to help her, but she chose to go back to him. My husband and I HAD been staying with them, not knowing that they were growing anything at all. When we moved in, the only condition was we saved so much a paycheck to get our own house soon and cleaned the house. We would not have to pay rent or bills.

Anyway, my husband and I moved out the same day they went to jail. When she got out, he asked where the money was he saved. She got mouthy and said "I spent your money a long time ago" he was so mad. Then a few hours later she tells us that she is getting her 401k check and will pay us back out of it.

The only reason she had the money was because it was part of the deal to stay with them. At the time we didn't have anywhere to go, so we chose to do it.

Today she got her check, she couldn't cash it at the bank because she doesn't have an account. She went to Walmart and they apparently told her no, but supposedly 20 minutes after she left Walmart she had the money because someone else was able to cash it for her 😒

I told my husband that she's not going to know when her grandson comes because of this. We were naive, especially him, because he never knew his mom was like this. After this happened though, he's found out a lot he didn't know about how she really is. Especially from her brothers and sisters.

And what's messed up is she's always accusing other people of stealing from her and calling people thieves. Now I guess we know why. Because she's one too
