UTI SYMPTOMS!? Opinions Please!!!

So maybe 4 or 5 days ago I started having this weird discharge, which I thought was a yeast infection because I had one before. Well I got the 1 night Monistat to clear that up. Fast forward to the day after that all the way up to today, and I have excruciating pain when I pee. Its very painful for me to wipe, I have to blot. Touching my vagina in any way is just so painful and it feels like it's burning. I got cranberry juice last night so I've been Drinking that. If this doesn't clear up by Tuesday or begin to feel better I'm going to go to the doctor. I'm just wondering if this sounds like a UTI to you ladies or something else, because I've never had one before, that's just what I think i have. Thank you for any advice!

You wouldn't get discharge with a UTI. Maybe you had a yeast infection and UTI simultaneously? If it's a UTI, you have the urge to pee a lot, it burns when you do, and you don't feel like you're completely emptying your bladder. It's miserable. I hate to tell ya, but cranberry juice is pretty useless. Cranberry supplements can help as a preventive measure, but still minimally. You'll need antibiotics. I'd get to a doctor sooner rather than later because if the infection spreads to your kidneys, it can be bad. In the meantime, drink lots of water and avoid caffeine and alcohol as they can irritate the bladder. You could try sitting in a bath with a couple drops of tea tree oil. I'm not sure why you'd be having pain in your vagina. That's not usually symptomatic of a UTI. All the more reason to get yourself checked out quickly. Good luck xx

Sounds a lot worse than a regular UTI but I can tell you from experience that cranberry juice won't do anything for it, you need to go get antibiotics. Cranberry juice can only help prevent them but it's best to just drink a lot of water.

I'd say UTI, sounds like it...probably is it. If drinking straight cranberry juice is a little overwhelming, ^^ cranberry supplements are wonderful. :) Just follow the dosage for about 3-4 days and that has cleared it straight up for me! If not, go to the doctor and they will give you antibiotics to take care of it. ^^

I just had a UTI and with mine I constantly felt like I had the urge to pee and it burned when I did go..I was never in pain when I wiped though..you could always call the nurses line for your doctor
