If u were dating/engaged to a guy who wasn't the biological dad to a kid but he has been in his life since he was a baby, would u accept that kid as ur own?

I would support the guy. My husband has been there for 13 years. I was 3 months pregnant with her when we met. Although he was not the sperm donor, she is his. If something happened to us and some other woman came in and tried to cause problems with their relationship because of dna, there would be hell to pay.

My son was barely a year old when my fiancé and I got together. Now he will be 2 next week and says he has more daddies because his biological is daddy and sees him twice a month and he calls my SO daddy because that's who is there and always tucks him in or helps his ouchies.

DNA doesn't necessary make you family. Sometimes it's the bond you have with someone that makes them your family :)
