I've thought about it I don't want my boyfriends mom in the room. But it's her first grandchild so am I being rude?? Should she be allowed in the room? I want my mom there though.

It annoys me that anyone besides the SO thinks they have a right to be in the room. If you want them in there, awesome! They should feel honored. But no one should EXPECT to be in there. Grrrr, sorry, I just hate that you and other Mommas are feeling guilty. Your labor shouldn't be about other people.

No that's your choice. I would not feel comfortable with my boyfriends mum seeing me in labour.

It's your choice. Period. I want my hubby and my mom, but NOT my MIL. I think my hubby was upset at first, but when I explained it was because she stresses me out and it's not about her, he understood. It's your decision, end of story.

Nope, not rude at all. She might not agree ;) but it's totally normal and reasonable to want your mom there but not your partner's mom.

I think it depends on what your BF thinks. If it means as much to him that she is there as it does to have your mom, then I think you should consider it, maybe with certain restrictions. But if it makes no difference to him, then nope, it's your body and your decision.

I don't think it's fair to have your mom and not his. Maybe opt for just you and your bf. Then grandma's can come in once baby has arrived.

My boyfriends mom isn't gonna be in the room. But my mom is. She understands why too. It's just a little strange. Just try and explain. It's your choice though.
