New to Birth Control

I just started using Birth Control the beginnjng of this month. I started taking the pill on my first period day and everything was going well. But then a week and a half later I started having some very heavy and consistent dark brown spotting. Idk if that means the pill isn't working well or maybe I should get stronger birth control. I'm currently using the lowest level of hormoned birth control (Lo Loestrin).
