What's the latest they will induce?

I'm almost 39 weeks along now. Just wondering if he doesn't come on his own, how soon will they induce me? In general? 42 weeks?

Depends on the doctor and health of mom and baby. Before I ended up needing a cesarean we were all set to go 10 days over my due date. That's as far as my doctor feels comfortable and I think I agree that it's a safe spot to go without pushing it. I don't think I would've went that far anyway.

My office does 41 weeks, which is today, but I got bumped.

My midwife will begin talking induction at 42+1. She has some tests run to make sure the placenta is still functioning properly, and tries some less invasive home treatments to induce. At 42+3 she'll transfer care to a doctor and induction usually follows shortly after. My first midwife said she would induce at 42+1. That's officially "overdue."
