Birth control help!

So I got birth control today and the lady said I can start it any time. Tomorrow is a Sunday so I could start the pack then, but I'm reading the form and it's saying to start taking my very first white pill the first day of my period. So I'm confused. Should I start taking it tomorrow since it's a Sunday or wait until I get my period? My period should start on Thursday
