When oh when?!

Ok so I'm a FTM currently 35 weeks pregnant and living 6 hours away from My mom and sister. They volunteered to come out and help me adjust to mommy hood for 2 weeks to a month and I'm trying to decide should they come soon as my son is born while I have my 6 weeks maternity leave (so will my husband) or should they wait and come at the 6 week mark once im due to go back to work? Which would be a more beneficial?

The first few weeks is by far the hardest, the help is definitely needed then. You'll need sleep and it'll be easier to get it with extra people to help

That's you and your husbands time to bond it's basically baby sleeping and you whipping your boobs out every couples hours to feed lol

I found the first few weeks really hard. It was helpful to have extra help to hold the baby or do the chores around the house. As hard as growth spurt is, I found that it was more doable. Probably because
 I got use to baby and know what he needs.

During the first few weeks I wanted to hole up with my baby and husband and hated having my mother-in-law around, even though she was trying to help.  After a few weeks, once husband was back at work, it was much more helpful to have someone around to hold the baby or run errands, but she wasn't coming by as much (i really could have used a sane adult the other day while he wouldn't stop screaming!).  So I'd say ask them to come later.

Does your husband care if they're there the same time as him? That might get a bit crowded. And I'm coming from a place where all my family is close, and rarely came over. It would've just been a whole lot of sitting around I think 😆 I could say the first six, because that's the time of most adjustment.
