When to switch to crib?

Question

My son is 5 weeks old and is still sleeping in the bassinet. Is it to early to put him in his crib in his room? How old was your child when you switched? Any tips?

My son makes so much noise in his sleep that I had to move him to his crib at 1 month. My friend moved her baby to the crib at 2 weeks. I have a video monitor on him so that made the switch much easier.

I was always told that once your baby starts to roll that's when they shouldn't be sleeping in a bassinet anymore.

When my daughter started rolling I switched her to the crib. We thought the earlier the better because it would be less of a dramatic change for her. So long as she has her airplane noise and nightlight, she's perfectly fine. She's gonna be 8 months this weekend.

My daughter has slept in her crib since day one  she's almost a month old now 
I didn't want to have to try to transition her out of our room or bed. Plus me and my husband don't do the whole co sleeping thing (which is a personal choice of ours)

I moved my daughter at 2 months. But wanted to move her earlier. Just didn't have a baby monitor. I now have a baby video monitor one for my daughter and one for my son.

I got scared she would suffocate
So about a month old

From day one little guy has been in his crib. Not for every nap/sleep session but multiple times a day so he gets used to not being right next to me. When I had my daughter we didn't start til 6 weeks and that's when she started sleeping thru the night
