Got to Vent

So I am so pissed at hurt right now! My husband and I are trying to get the nursery ready. My step dad is so amazing he is working full time in his home improvement job and he offered to paint our nursery for us sometime in the next week. So we asked my MIL to buy the crib (she was the one who offered when we first told her we were pregnant). So she got so mad and upset and basically said I was ungrateful and I expect things. Which is not true. She offered A. And B. I wanted to have the nursery ready for my shower which is in a month. She really hurt my feelings by what she said. My poor husband is stuck in the middle. I have no idea what to do. He told me to just let her cool down. But I feel like he should defend me and tell his mom that what she said was uncalled for.
