Bartholin cysts??? Help

So ever since I was like 15, I've been able to push on the outer wall of my vagina and expel (slow drip, but very obvious) a white cloudy fluid every couple of months. I go through different times where I can feel that side of my vagina get a little sore (engorged??) and if I press on the area and expel the fluid (drain it??? Lol) it gets better. Lately my boyfriend and I have been having a lot of sex and it seems like it's every other week when that wall gets sore. I've been tested in the last six months and we've been dating for 8, so there's no STI. There's no visible swelling or even palpable bump. Only the soreness and the fluid draining. Is this a Bartholin cyst? If so is it necessary to get it checked or only if it gets infected? I know I shouldn't be nervous to talk tony gyno about this but she's a family friend and it's kind of weird to say "oh sometimes I press on my vagina and white fluid comes out" help me lol
