I really don't care about your face

Okay, so my whole life, I've been bullied about the people I grow to like. Now, I'm not saying I don't notice physical attributes, but I don't really care about them. Like, I've date plenty of guys with gorgeous genes BUT ILL BE DAMNED IF they weren't the biggest assholes EVER. I'm also not saying every "hot" guy is mean. But I prefer a guy who's kind to me and isn't always trying to get in my panties and loves loving me. But my family always bullies me about their looks. Are they cold hearted? Or am I missing something?
