Midwife or ordinary??

So I wanted to try a water birth this time and have a midwife. I also don't want to know the gender. My husband on the other hand don't like either decision and says he will only do a water birth with me if he can know the gender. Not far!!!! What were your experiences which are better I'm willing to negotiate but I don't want to settle :-( he's not being far lol. He also wants to name our baby Dixyon this guy just making up crazy stuff because he thinks the stuff I want is crazy.
