Have I been friend zoned?! 🙈😌

So I've known this guy since second grade. We became actual friends this past school year and I might venture out to say he's my best guy friend. There was this dance back in March and my friends had told me that he'd probably ask me to go with him. He hadn't done so, so when the weeks had passed and the dance got closer I confronted him a wee bit. Of course it was the day before my period so I was all over the place mentally. He said he couldn't take me. Well, he found out that I liked him and he mentions things sometimes like, as friends of course, and things like that. I want to know, have I oficially been friend zoned?
