Only 2 ultrasounds thru whole pregnancy??

I've only had two ultrasounds and am 34 weeks. My doctor said I won't be having anymore. Is this crazy or is it just me? I had one confirming the pregnancy and the anatomy scan at 25 weeks.

I don't understand why there wouldn't be at least one more to see if any abnormalities have formed over the last few months. Am I alarmed over nothing?

I got one to determine pregnancy and my anatomy. The anatomy was just a couple days ago and they went through every part of the baby to check for abnormalities. If they are going to develop its usually happened by then. Two is a normal ammount of ultrasounds don't let it worry you.

Going to my 6th one next Wednesday and I honestly thought I was going to get the usual 2 or 3 ultrasound. I had a scare that they thought my son had a hole in his spine and behind his neck but thankfully he doesn't. Now his head is measuring small so they want to measure it again. 😟

Here (UK) it is standard to have only two scans. They'll only do more on the NHS if there is a medical need. The chances of an 'abnormality' developing after your anatomy scan without any warning are minute.

I had one at 9 weeks and now waiting for another at 20 weeks. I'm currently 16w4d. It sucks but I try to think of it as a good thing, if there was something wrong we'd be getting more.

I had the 12w , 20w, 31w, and will have one this friday I'll be 37w6d BUT it's because I lost so much weight in the first two trimesters I didn't gain any but 2 pounds above my pre pregnancy weight so my midwife just wants to go in a check baby (which is fine with me lol) so it's normal to only get two :)

You should've had the NT scan at 12 weeks, but other than that, I think that's pretty normal. Unless there is a problem I dont think they'll do anymore

With my daughter I had one at 20 weeks and then one at 32 weeks to check her size. With this one I have had a couple because of spitting in the begining . But I had a dating ultra sound at my OB and I have my anatomy at 21 weeks and I'm sure that will be it
