Confused and also scared....

I got the birth control implant about 2 weeks ago. And I should have have started my period 10 days ago, but I haven't. The doctor checked me and told me I wasn't pregnant which meant I could receive the implant. She also told me that it wouldn't affect my cycle. I'm just concerned because I haven't started my period yet...is that a problem?
