His house, his rules?
My Grandfather is extremely racist and homophobic. He still calls black people "monkey's" and the "n" word. He told my son he couldn't wear Sperry's because he didn't want him to be a "faggot". He won't let us watch shows with black people in them and when he got in my car he said "Don't play any n**** music."
His theory is that black women all have babies by men they don't know and black men are scum of the earth and try and steal all of the white women because white women are easily manipulated. He has said, "No respectable man wants a white women who has been with a black man". We were actually watching a show the other day and a white women was dating a black man and he shook his head and called her stupid because he was cheating on her. It never stated he was, but because he was black my grandpa said he was. The list goes ON AND ON.
My grandma and I have gotten into it because I listen to some rap music and old R&B and turned on Kevin Hart, etc. And she said it makes him mad because its his house and his rules. I can't watch shows or movies with black people in it either.
So on that note...am I wrong? Should I be able to do those things as I want because I don't believe the same as him? Or regardless of how awful his rules are I should be required to follow them?
