Advice What is the first doctor visit like for pregnancy?

I have my first doctors visit this coming Tue since I already know I'm pregnant will they do a blood test? Ultrasound?? I'm curious

Mine was at about 9-10 weeks, asked me when my last period was, listened  for the heartbeat and found it right away and that was about it for the exam, no ultra sound. Then they  flood you w a bunch if info about when certain tests can be performed if you want them and other stuff about common first trimester symptoms, things you should avoid.. ask when you'd have to have the tests scheduled if u want them bc I thought if I just came to the next appt I could tell them then, but turns out I would have had to call in to get myself scheduled for he tests sooner than the next regular appt. they just assume ppl don't want the tests I think or that if you aren't over 35 you'll be fine, but my partner and I talked about if the tests showed bug problems we might want to end the pregnancy and try again. So I ended up taking a more expensive test for genetic defects.

My first appointment was with a nurse and we tried to figure out how far along I was because I hadn't had a period in 3 or 4 months. 3 days later I met with the doctor for an ultrasound and a flu shot.

I had a urine confirmation, regular gynecologist exam I was due for and blood draws.

Probably a urine test to confirm and then tell you about what's coming and what classes they offer. They will also test your blood for vitamin deficiency and to see if you are RH negative, they usually don't do an US until 9w
