Earlobe Dirt (Sensitive Ears)

I pull "dirt" out of my earlobes- yes where the earring goes. To me really it's like a scab. Every so often I get this fullness, it's hard and hurts. Pulling it out helps. I know when I have something in there when it is difficult to put an earring in and its hard to take out- it's like I have to tug on the earring. I've always had sensitive ears ever since I was a little girl. I believe it's just I have to wear real silver earrings, nickel free, for sensitive ears, etc type earrings but I'm mainly posting this just to get an idea if anyone really knows what it is that I am pulling out of my ear? Personal stories are definitely welcome. Actually pushed for lol
