Pregnancy test results

Three different times in the last three months I have missed a period by 2-5 days so I took a pregnancy test and got a positive reading. Days later I start my period and it repeats the next month. This is the third time it has happened and I'm just becoming discouraged with getting excited over a positive reading but then starting a period days later. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
