Breakup after a year and a half

My boyfriend and I broke up today after deciding that we wouldn't be able to do long distance in college. I went over to this house today just expecting to hangout-- neither of us were planning on breaking it off. We shared our concerns regarding our relationship during college and both realized that it would be too hard for us. It happened really quickly, and I'm honestly feeling heartbroken. We both said we still loved and cared about each other. Our last time together was just full of so much sadness and tears. I feel really alone and I guess I'm making this post bc I haven't told anyone yet and I don't know how to tell my family or friends since it was our plan to do long distance and we were pretty set on doing it. He's going to college 6 hours away and I'm staying close to home. We've had so many good memories together, I'm really torn up.
