A bad day but I still smile

Dee • First pregnancy was an ectopic. Second I miscarried at 12 weeks. 3rd I miscarried at 5 weeks. Hoping 4th works!!!
So. Ella decided to shove her fingers down her throat and gag herself while I was feeding her so she spit up about a gallon of warm old slimy milk with a good dose of mucus all over both of us and the couch and the floor. It was so bad I couldn't stop gagging and couldn't figure out how to move without it going everywhere and the thought of THAT made me gag more. So I sat there gagging and crying while Ella was screaming. Eventually I got it together and got both of us changed and the gross stuff in the laundry. I cleaned up the couch and floor and had her sitting in her little bouncy seat while I cleaned.
She started to fuss so I did a diaper sniff test as the current set of diapers don't have the indicator line. I sniffed just as I realized my nose and hand were both wet. Yellow. It was poop. I had poop all over me. It was all over her little bouncy chair and her newest outfit and socks. So I cleaned that up.
Finally it was bedtime so I got her ready and knocked over the milk. Uggghhhhh
Also, she is cutting teeth.
But. Today is what I always dreamed of. The mess of being someone's momma. I have to smile. I'm where I so hoped someday I'd be. Even if that place is scrubbing a bouncy chair to get off the poo.
