Would you help a lost stranger?

I'm curious, if a person you never met was lost and asked if you knew how to go somewhere would you show them? Do you for some people and not all? I'm currently at an event and a teen came up asking to use my phone. He was completely lost and had no idea how to get to his hotel. I happened to know how to get there and I told him I could walk him back. His friend was extremely thankful and so was he. The teen was in an electric wheel chair and seemed to have issues with sight as well. I never got a bad feeling from him and I didn't walk him all the way to his room and the whole time we were walking other people were around. Would you ever show someone the way back?

Yes, I remember my grandpa got lost one time and someone walked him the whole way back to our house, 20 blocks. We were so thankful. I would help someone unless I felt unsafe doing so.

I give people directions all the time. I've even walked them places. I'd be hesitant about handing my phone over to anyone however.

Don't ask for directions in New Orleans. They tell you the opposite direction ON PURPOSE.

The first time I went to Sydney alone, I got lost in the city and asked an old lady at Maccas how to get to the bus that goes back to my aunts place. She was more than happy to help me. I try to help everyone who asks.

Obviously I'd be hesitant, especially in a city I guess? Like if I knew the place they wanted me to show them to was quiet, kinda dodgy, I'd probably give them directions, even draw a little nap or something, but not go there by myself with them. 
I also don't think I'd be keen to hand someone my phone, I would happily call someone for them, or put them on speaker but hold the phone myself. 
I'm all for helping people out, but I'm going to look after myself first, I think that's reasonable.

If it's a safe enough situation I would, if I feel like I'm at risk if I help though then nope

It really depends. Where I'm from its best to keep your head down and ignore people. Too many dangerous people around. But that's not always the case. You just gotta think smart and keep your wits about you.

I will always help but if they are asking me to go somewhere with them that's another story. I have to look out for my safety as a women.

It depends. If it's night and there's a dark alley that I have to go through then I'd just tell them the directions or let them call someone. You never know what kind of creeps are out there
