My boyfriend never talks to the baby

I've read that it's good for the baby to hear our voices and be talked to, and my boyfriend just won't do it. He feels her kicks and everything and occasionally will put his head to rest on my bump but if I ask him to talk to her hell just say a few words like "hi baby" and then stop. Am I ridiculous for being hurt that he won't talk to her? I understand he might feel awkward or weird about it but I'm worried my baby won't know his voice.
