Did knowing he was going to pop the question ruin the fun?

I recently found out that my boyfriend is planning on proposing (he spilled the beans). For those who have been engaged and knew he was going to do it (just not when), did it take the fun out of the whole thing?

Well, we were long distance and decided to get married a lot sooner. We kind of said to hell with tradition and planned the whole wedding. Then I finally saw him and he still wanted to propose so the proposal ended up being December 23rd, and wedding the 28th.

We discussed marriage heavily for a week before getting engaged. (Me 24 him 34 at the time) I'm divorced from my highschool sweetheart and it was extremely important to me that my next marriage would be my last. I wanted to make sure we were on the same page with everything. Life goals, financial compatibility, kids, ect. We picked out my ring together and he proposed in our home. 
To each their own but for me it was the perfect way to do it.

We also discussed marriage throughout our "dating life." My husband asked me about rings i liked and even had me send him links. Lol. He knew it was important for me to choose my forever jewelry. He even was extremely pissed when i stopped at a jewelry store (bc he had asked my ring size) and sent him pics of a totally different style ring! I had no clue he had already purchased a specific stone to be placed in a platinum setting. Oopppsss. 😳
Soon thereafter we planned a winter vacation to Disney World. My friends and sister said he would propose, but i still was not sure of the timing. It ended up being truly magical!! Epcot globe in background, lots of ppl accidentally watching, he even had a young lady take pictures of the whole thing. 😍

Today, communication is way better than any true suprise. I basically picked out my ring. We were both so elated at our engagement.  Talking about marriage, family, and yes, rings, only benefitted us. GL

My hubby is in the Army, we discussed marriage and kinda just agreed to get married. Then I told him if he didn't ask me to marry him the right way before the day we got married then I wasn't gonna marry him, but that was totally a joke and he knew that. But he asked the day before 😘
